Photos as I Like It

Here's the collection of images from my final class project. With a little encouragement, I decided to switch from black and white to color. This series is all unused, decrepit buildings from the Alameda Naval Base.

Here are my photo selections for my third class assignment, which was inside. Finding indoor locations for interesting architecture, definitely leads you to churches. These images are from two different well-known churches in Oakland, Chapel of the Chimes and Cathedral of Light.

For the next five weeks, I'm taking a Creative Photography of Architecture class, so you're likely to see a few images that are also class assignments. This weeks assignment is a one- or two-story building portrait. I headed out to the abandoned Alameda Naval Base which is a weird mix of empty buildings that are no longer in use, and some that have been taken over for new businesses. This old credit union building is definitely abandoned, and doesn't even look like it really was ever used as a credit union.
