A Year of Sundays--Santa Cruz Style with Mom

This Sunday brings me to an outing with my Mom down in Santa Cruz. She has three images in a really interesting exhibit at the Pajaro Valley Arts Council, an exhibit of alternative process in photographic media and I joined her at the opening reception. So for today's image I headed out to West Cliff Drive and Steamer Lane to capture a typical Santa Cruz image of surfers, despite the very few waves there were several people out in the water.

I really liked watching people find their way into the water.

And an outtake of someone catching one of the few waves.

A Moment in Time Repeat: 3 AM

Sticking with the noir theme that goes so well with these very late/early time periods, I headed back to the Naval Base and found this nicely lite inset door.
